Velamma is mugged in broad daylight, as a thief tries to snatch her new handbag. Luckily, a young female martial-arts student happens to be nearby and comes to the rescue, sending the thief away with a few bruises and without the handbag. But the attempted robbery convinces Velamma to take a self-defense class herself.
And although she feels like she is out of shape, Velamma proves to be a natural at martial arts, slaying her competition in the beginners’ class.
